Just in case if you don’t have enough time to make
everything, here is a simple dessert for you to try. This is my first time ever
making a Peach Cobbler and it turned out to be perfect and moreover I was
surprised to see how easy it was to make!! Thanks Mayachechi for introducing me
to this soulful dessert!!
Recipe Adapted from Paula Deen
Servings: 8 to 10
Ingredients:
- Canned sliced peaches – I can
- Sugar – 1cup
- Reserve 1/4th cup
syrup from canned peach
- 5 tablespoons butter
- 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- Ground cinnamon, optional
Preheat
oven to 175 degrees C.
Combine
the sliced peaches, reserved syrup, a pinch of cinnamon and 1tblsp sugar in a
saucepan and mix well. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes till the syrup
is thick. Remove from the heat.
Put
the butter in a 3-quart baking dish and place in oven to melt.
Meanwhile, combine the rest of the sugar and flour
together in a bowl. Slowly stir in milk to prevent clumping. Pour the batter over melted butter. Do not
stir. Spoon peaches on top of batter evenly, gently pouring in syrup. Sprinkle
on top some ground cinnamon. And bake for 30 to 45 minutes. Batter will rise to
top during baking and bake it till it turns golden.
Serve
it with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
Tip: You can make this with different fruits like
blue berry.

I made the Peach Cobbler using your recipe and it came out delicious. The peaches I used were peaches picked up in Ooty. My husband Rahul LOVED the Peach Cobbler!! I'am very happy with the outcome, thanks for sharing the recipe just in time when I needed it.
I am glad you and your husband loved it. :)
