An initiative
called The Craft Safari, started by two craft lovers, Geetha Mary Jimmy and Ann Thomas, based in UAE
has grown as a venture since 2011, bringing the best of indigenous crafts from
across India to everyone’s home. Their products range from Terracotta lanterns,
Ganeshas, Copper Bells from Kutch, Bastar crafts, Longpi from Manipur, DIY
Craft kits, Charmakari Danglers, Paper Machie crafts, Dhokra, Rajasthani
Jharokhas and musicians, stone craft , Aranmula mirror from Kerala and Wood block carving
from UP. Besides sourcing handpicked products, they also provide craft
workshops. Recently they had the Kerala Mural Painting workshop which was a
huge success. As of now they sell through exhibitions and fairs.
Have a look at
their product range and I am already tempted to buy something from them soon.
