The picturesque drive to Nizwa nestled among the Hajar Mountains
is perfect for a short day trip. The scorching heat didn’t stop me from
appreciating the ancient beauty of Nizwa fort. The souq nearby was filled with
earthenware pottery, traditional Omani Khanjar, wooden chests and heavy silver
jewelry.
