Casual Table Setting Inspiration

A casual table setting is a simplified version of an informal table setting. You can choose your theme and colour scheme and match your flatware to set a tone. A simple family meal or a meal with friends where each has a plate, napkin, basic flatware and a water or wine glass is what constitutes a casual table setting. And you can blend in your creativity with gorgeous center pieces to set the mood. What I love about our casual table dining meals is that our dining table becomes the focal point which is often neglected in our busy routine! Try it out at least once a week as a nice tradition, you will be surprised to see yourselves eat together more often!

I am going to share with you a link where I normally run a rain check on how to set a table. Please click here. Thank God for Google and I pull out a cheat sheet to check the table setting etiquette all the time. But there are plenty of other links to go through and you may find better ones that will suit your taste.

Some of the basic pointers to keep in mind:

·         Use a fitting table cloth for your dining table.

·         Layout a placemat if using one.

·         Decide on your flatware, glassware and napkins.

·         Once the flatware is arranged on the placemat, layout the napkin on the plate or underneath the fork.

·         Choose effortless yet elegant arrangements using flowers, candle or fruits as center pieces.

Here are some pictures to browse through to set you in the mood and enjoy entertaining your family and friends.

Sunday Decor and Styling

Happy and fabulous Sunday to you all!!

The Indian Weave had surprised me with some fabulous hot pink and white kantha stitch cushion covers and I had to incorporate in my décor because I wanted a different pop of colour for the new month in my space.… So I layered my recliner with these hot pink cushions and it completely changed the mood around by giving a different texture. The décor tip is to accent your couch with cushions that brings not just colour but texture and design as well. It gives you that instant makeover.

My love affair with this chair continues … I have my tea and coffee here… I read here and snooze off … so I basically love styling my favorite comfort corner to just set the right mood. Thank you Indian Weave for these fabulous cushion covers!! Readers click here to head to The Indian Weave website if you wish to get hold of these gorgeous covers and do browse through their handpicked lifestyle products. They are worth drooling and buying! And for those readers who missed my feature on The Indian Weave please click here to read. Have a fabulous week ahead everyone!

Indigo Blue Inspiration from my home

Good morning everyone! Happy Tuesday! Trust you all are holding up fine and happy! As the summer is slowly creeping in, I am trying to ignore the fact that we are all going to be baked soon as the heat goes up. So to cool off my place with freshness, I would like to welcome you all to my comfort zone as I style away my coffee table with Indigo blue. The idea was to bring freshness to my living room and the best way to start is from my coffee table...  I could feel my table screaming for some love! So I put some of my favorite elements together and voila! I must admit I am so pleased with how all the elements have come together.

In this vignette you will find books, books are always a part of my decor…. There are tealight holders… my favorite treasure, a Wedgwood box that I acquired 5 years back…. a matching table runner from Athens… and bougainvillea flowers!

Let me know what you think of my indigo blue styling! Suggestions are welcome!! Have a fabulous week ahead!

Vignette Inspiration from my Home

Decorating your home with fresh flowers gives an instant make over by creating an oasis of comfort in your space. My chrysanthemums are blooming away making my garden so beautiful and I couldn’t help myself bring these beauties inside my sanctuary. Flowers are the key to any beautiful vignette because it creates the most impact while styling. I paired these gorgeous flowers with books to bring in character, a tealight holder to bring warmth, my favorite birdie to add charm and a little antique box to add glamour to the whole styling…. Voila!!! Enough to bring in a glow to my space…

What are some of your favorite elements in your arrangement? If you wish to share your favorite vignette or styling, please get in touch with me at tbinspirations@gmail.com

Décor love from my home

Lately I have been focusing on the significant purpose of my life and the journey towards to it is nearing… the ambiguous dream is there and it continues to thrive into reality and hopefully everything will take shape one day… hoping to reach that destination soon and not giving up. Am sure many of you can relate to what I am saying…

And as I focus on my goals and dream, I got busy moving things around my home to keep the energy flowing, with jazz playing in the background, tapping my aesthetic chords …. And I got around styling my coffee table and my living room today… I used tea lights, candleholder, books and other simple accessories to style…

Enjoy the inspiration from my home and stay tuned for more
